Philanthropy Moments - February 2026
2025 Donor Impact
2025 was a year to celebrate! Together, we helped children experience camp, broke ground on a new Leadership Centre at YMCA Wanakita, confirmed federal funding support for a new YMCA in downtown Hamilton, and we helped more young people, families, and seniors find belonging at the YMCA.
It’s all in support of our Y Saves Lives campaign. Here’s a look at how last year’s donations breakdown through our campaign priorities.
Because of you, more people had a chance to shine in 2025.

Donation Highlights
The Power of the First Gift
In 2025, 959 people were inspired to make a gift to our YMCA for the first time. While their motivations are varied, their commitment is a beautiful act of trust in support of our mission.
To Our Staff, With Gratitude
Our staff are the spark that ignites the potential in everything we do. You give yourself every day to see our community shine. So many of you also give financially to support the YMCA and our programs. In 2025, our staff gave over $79,689. Thank you for making what we do possible.
A Milestone Moment for the Y Saves Lives Campaign
We are pleased to launch the public fundraising phase for the Wayne Perkins Leadership Centre at YMCA Wanakita. With the generosity of early supporters like you, the project is already more than 75% funded. Construction is well underway. The walls are rising. The vision is taking shape.
Home Depot Raises over $30K for Young People in Need
Thank you The Home Depot and their customers who raised $32,952 for the Youth in Transition Worker program through the Orange Door Project Campaign. Together, we’re helping young people build a brighter future.
Pickleball Brantford Support the YMCA
Pickleball Brantford held a charity tournament at the Laurier Brantford YMCA in January. The event raised $6,460.10 to help children access day camp programs at the YMCA in Brantford.
