From fitness to selfies, Greater Together Games spark joy across YMCA Hamilton | Burlington | Brantford
Community, camaraderie, and commitment were on full display during the first-ever YMCA Greater Together Games.
More than 700 people signed up for a chance to win YMCA and Team Canada swag by tracking their fitness activities and completing bonus tasks to fill up their torch before the other teams.
While many of you completed the weekly challenge—often going above and beyond to score dots for your team—many of you also took part in our community-building bonus activities. By taking selfies with teammates, bringing a friend to the Y, joining a group fitness class, or participating in community-focused activities like volunteering or donating to a charity, you showed how we are truly Greater Together.

For participants, it was an opportunity to show up for themselves and for their community.
“Participating in the Greater Together Games was such a fun experience and kept me motivated during the dreary weeks in February,” says Tania Gloster, YMCA employee and member at the Ron Edwards Family YMCA.
“The challenge came at the perfect time of year, providing that push to stay active while helping my team fill our torch. The friendly competition helped me connect with other members more easily and I’m already looking forward to future GTGs!”
