Through a variety of supports and activities, our Newcomer Youth Centres provide newcomer youth the chance to enhance their settlement and integration experiences, stay active and build connections within the community.
We offer three Newcomer Youth Centres throughout Hamilton. Schedules of activities and support programs are linked under each location.

Get support to navigate life in Canada! We offer one-on-one and group sessions covering school, jobs, daily life, and how to access helpful community resources.
Need to complete your high school volunteer hours? We’ll help you find placements, connect you to local organizations, and support you through the process.
Join us for soccer, basketball, volleyball, and creative arts! These fun group activities are a great way to stay active, explore your interests, and meet other youth. Activities are available only during certain times of the year and in certain locations.
Connect with mentors and build life skills through hands-on activities like “Cooking for a Cause.” You’ll gain confidence, make friends, and be part of a supportive community. Activities are available only during certain times of the year and in certain locations.
Practice English in fun and relaxed settings. Build your confidence, improve your speaking skills, and make new friends while learning about Canadian life. Activities are available only during certain times of the year and in certain locations.

Who is Eligible for Newcomer Youth Centre Services?
Youth ages 12 – 30
Immigration Status
- Permanent Residents of Canada
o Convention Refugees and Persons in Need of Protection
o Individuals whose Permanent Resident application has been approved in principle
o Limited support for individual who are Foreign domestic workers admitted under the Live-In Caregiver program, Refugee Claimants, Naturalized Canadian Citizens, International Students, Temporary Workers
