All YMCA before and after school programs will remain closed following the April Break due to the provincial order to close schools to in-person learning. All YMCA School Age Child Care payments will be suspended at this time, with the exception of outstanding payments.
All YMCA Health, Fitness & Aquatics facilities remain temporarily closed due to the province-wide stay-at-home order. All active memberships will be placed on hold as of April 3rd and no membership payments will be collected. For complete info please read our Updates to Members.

Announcing a special opportunity for 14-24 year-olds to learn to be a lifeguard and gain paid work experience. This is a great opportunity to build your skills, earn extra money and enhance your resume.

This free program starts October 10 and includes:

  • training and certifications for becoming a lifeguard
  • financial support to help cover the costs of certifications
  • paid 12 week work experience in a YMCA pool

Participants will need to be able to get to Les Chater Family YMCA and Flamborough YMCA for work placements.
