Impact of Camps Due to Overnight Fire at Christie Lake Conservation Area

All busses have departed Christie Lake Conservation Area and are headed to the bus pick-up locations listed below. Families are asked to pick up their child (or children) by 12:00 PM noon.
Dear families,
First and most importantly, all campers and staff are safe, accounted for and in the care of YMCA staff.
A significant fire occurred overnight at YMCA Camp Chippewa, causing extensive damage to the camp office and pavilion and limiting access to washroom facilities. We are working with the appropriate authorities and assessing the impact on camp operations.
As a result, we are safely relocating all campers and staff from Christie Lake Conservation Area. Campers are being transported by bus to the YMCA branch locations listed below, where they will remain in the care of YMCA staff.
YMCA Camp Chippewa will remain closed for the remainder of this week, and families will receive refunds for the affected camp days.
Please do not go to Christie Lake Conservation Area to pick up your child. Please pick up your child only from the location assigned to their camp group.
