An all-inclusive winter family getaway!

Family day is fast approaching! The snow is falling here at Wanakita and our staff are working hard to prepare our site for endless winter fun.

About the weekend!

Escape to YMCA Wanakita in beautiful Haliburton, Ontario for a weekend your family will never forget.

This weekend getaway includes food, lodging and the equipment needed to fully enjoy and embrace winter.

Our Outdoor Centre staff provide a variety of age-appropriate programs, allowing family members to either participate together or independently.

 

Cost:

Adult (17+): $479 
Youth (10-16): $340 
Child (3-9): $320 

All fees are subject to 13% HST. Children under 3 are free.

Directions To Wanakita

Our winterized cabins have private toilet and shower facilities as well as heat. Each cabin is equipped with single bunk beds and mattresses, bedding and towels are not provided. Cabins are located throughout our site a short walk from the main dining building. Additional washroom facilities are located throughout our site.

Wanakita offers 3 meals a day as well as an evening snack. Various dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice. Please ensure you've filled out the 'dietary restriction, food allergies or specialty di' form with a detailed description of your needs so we can provide you with the best possible experience.

You are welcome to pack your own snacks, although we ask that you do not bring anything containing nuts as we are a nut free facility. We also recommend bringing them in an airtight storage container (squirrels, racoons and mice love tasty snacks too.)

Smoking is permitted in the designated area only. All our buildings and accommodations are smoke free, as is the rest of our site. Please use the butt cans provided.

 

Alcohol and Cannabis

Participants of legal drinking age are welcome to enjoy alcohol at camp. Enjoyment with discretion is our policy. A discreet vessel, such as a travel mug or non-descript cup is recommended. We ask that you refrain from bringing glass containers where possible.

Of age participants are welcome to enjoy cannabis with discretion. Please adhere to smoking guidelines. For your safety, we ask that you do not attend programming if you have consumed either alcohol or cannabis.
