YMCA launches second-ever national campaign showcasing a place for well-being and belonging

Today, the YMCA launched its new brand campaign, “Greater Together”. For the second year in a row, YMCAs from coast to coast are joining forces with a national advertising campaign that connects more people to our programs while shining a light on our impact as a charity. 

The new campaign is centred on the idea of the power of belonging. It shows how the YMCA brings people together to become much more than we ever could individually. We are stronger, braver, bolder. We bring out the potential in each other. At the Y, we are “Greater Together”.

The campaign has two main areas of focus: brand awareness and fundraising. The spots highlight the wide variety of programming available at the YMCA and raise awareness of our charitable status by highlighting that donations create access to our programs for those who can’t afford them. 

To capture the energy of the YMCA, a new, custom song was created. Its dynamic sound is designed to grab attention, bring a feeling of energy and joy, and help the campaign break through the noise in a very competitive marketplace. 

Through TV, streaming, digital platforms, and podcasts, the campaign will reach millions of Canadians with one unifying message: the YMCA is more than a place, it is a movement powered by belonging, compassion, and community.
