Canada’s Largest Children’s Book Festival Returns
 

Two days of free, family-friendly programming at the Telling Tales Festival, set in the scenic Hendrie Park at the Royal Botanical Gardens.

 
With programming tents tailored to age groups (0–6, 6–8, 9–12, and 13+), the Festival offers something for every young reader. Meet over 100 of Canada’s acclaimed children’s authors, illustrators, storytellers, and musicians. Programming includes presentations in English, French, Indigenous languages, and ASL, with a focus on stories, music, and visual art that inspire a love of reading and creativity.
 
Festival activities include:
  1. Interactive storytelling presentations and performances
  2. Appearances by well-known literary characters
  3. Nature walks and outdoor theatre
  4. Writing workshops and hands-on creative activities
