Leadership Centre
A new Leadership Centre is being built for Wanakita's Student Counsellor (SC) Leadership program and other programs throughout the year.
Entrance & Welcome Centre
The former Longhouse and entrance to camp is being transformed into the Heming Family Welcome Centre that will provide a smooth and welcoming experience for all who visit camp.
Cabins
Our cabins are being refreshed or completely rebuilt so they can be enjoyed by future generations of campers.
Waterfront
We are renewing the waterfront at Koshlong Lake so that we can better deliver our waterfront activities and so all campers can enjoy the space.
Since 1953, YMCA Wanakita has offered a traditional camp experience and leadership building.
Campers learn hard skills like canoeing and archery, while also developing their own skills, strengths and confidence.
A number of projects are underway at Wanakita, and with your kindness, we can see these through and make sure children and families in our community have a life changing camp experience, now and always.
All of this important work is being done to sustain our camp infrastructure, safeguard our environment and make an important promise to future campers: the land, the lake, and all the nature within will be protected so that YMCA Wanakita will always be the place to have the time of your life.
