Fall Women’s Weekend is fast approaching and we just can't wait!
Reconnect with friends, enjoy the outdoors, eat healthy, delicious meals and be physically active at this wellness-themedweekend retreat. Try something new and revisit traditional camp activities such as paddling, ropes courses and interpretive nature walks. We offer fitness classes and activities designed to enhance well-being in spirit, mind and body.

What To Bring
- Linens/Bedding – remember to pack towels, sheets & blankets or sleeping bag, and pillow! Linens are not supplied. All beds are twin-sized.
- Flash Light - It's very dark at night - great for star gazing!
- Folding Chair
- Yoga Mat – if you plan to participate in the stretching sessions, feel free to bring your own mat, otherwise, some will be provided.
- Cooler / Air Tight Container - any food in cabins will attract critters. Keeping extra snacks in a sealed container may help to prevent unwanted visitors.
- Travel Mugs - We ask that cups and dishes do not leave the dining hall.
- White 100% Cotton T-shirt - If you would like to do Tie Dye please bring something to dye.

First Time Camper?
- The last place to eat or get gas before you get to Wanakita is Minden or Lindsay depending on your route. There are also great options in Haliburton!
- All cabins have heating and electricity.
- Cell reception is extremely limited.
- Meals are served in the Core dining hall sit down family style not buffet at 8:30, 12:30 and 5:30.
Frequently Asked Questions
Arrival: Plan to arrive between 6pm and 10pm on Friday, September 26 and check in at the Welcome Centre. Fenton Hall will be open between 4pm and 6pm for anyone who arrives early. We ask that you refrain from using other areas until Women's Weekend opens at 6:00pm. (There is no dinner provided on Friday night.)
If you think you will be arriving after 10pm please let us know so we can prepare your information and leave it for you at the Welcome Centre. If you need to contact Wanakita that evening, please text or call Jalmar at 705-854-0069.
You may drive your car to your cabin to drop off your things. However, we ask that all cars be moved to the parking lot and left there for the remainder of the weekend.
If you have not already completed the allergy/dietary form on your registration please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions (example: lactose or gluten intolerance, vegetarianism, etc.) so that the kitchen is prepared for your arrival.
Alcoholic beverages are permitted on site for this weekend. If you choose to bring alcoholic beverages to Wanakita, we ask that you enjoy them with discretion to ensure the safety and comfort of all members of the camp community. Please bring cans or plastic rather than glass.
Please do not consume alcohol or any mood altering substance before participating in or during any program. Safety is our first priority for all participants.
Smoking & Vaping is permitted in the designated smoking area only, not in any buildings.
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for illegal drugs.
