All YMCA before and after school programs will remain closed following the April Break due to the provincial order to close schools to in-person learning. All YMCA School Age Child Care payments will be suspended at this time, with the exception of outstanding payments.
All YMCA Health, Fitness & Aquatics facilities remain temporarily closed due to the province-wide stay-at-home order. All active memberships will be placed on hold as of April 3rd and no membership payments will be collected. For complete info please read our Updates to Members.

Your child can learn self-confidence, self-defense and respect for themself and others in YMCA Karate. As a result of learning this moving art form they will also build discipline, core stability, agility, balance, flexibility, and endurance.

Karate is a martial art that combines the use of punches, kicks and defensive techniques learned while doing fundamentals, kata technique and sparring. A uniform is available however not required. Registration is required.

To provide the best experience for your child, Karate class is split into two groups at some location as follows:

  • Karate Fundamentals
  • Karate Advanced
