The YMCA offers meaningful work opportunities where you will find a fun, supportive work environment, opportunities to grow and develop your skills and to be a part of something bigger. At the YMCA we are on a mission to enhance the well-being of individuals, families and our community.
If you have strong personal values, care about people and want to make a difference, the YMCA is the place for you. Learn more about working at the YMCA
The YMCA is seeking part-time lifeguards/instructors to work a variety of shifts. Hours of work will be based on the needs of the branch. Aquatic team members are responsible for the delivery of customer service excellence through member satisfaction and safety during recreational swims as well as instruction of both individual and group swimming lessons.
The School Age Child Care Float Staff will work on an on-call basis and will assist the centre team in the planning and implementation of a before and after school program that meets the developmental needs of children 3.8 - 12 years of age, while adhering to the YMCA policies and procedures and quality standards, as well as the regulations of the Child Care and Early Years Act. School Age Child Care Float Staff are responsible for the supervision of children at all times during program to ensure the health and safety needs of all are met.
Since the program takes place in a shared space, this individual maintains and fosters good relationships with school personnel, parents and other staff to promote the program within the community.
