Government of Canada: Announces Up to $25 Million for New Hamilton Downtown Family YMCA
Today, the Honourable Gary Anandasangaree, Minister of Public Safety, joined the Honourable Adam van Koeverden, Secretary of State for Sport, the Honourable Karina Gould (MP Burlington), and Members of Parliament Lisa Hepfner (Hamilton Mountain), John-Paul Danko (Hamilton West-Ancaster-Dundas), and Aslam Rana (Hamilton Centre) to announce up to $25 million in federal funding toward the development of a new Hamilton Downtown Family YMCA facility as part of Budget 2025: Canada Strong - Build Communities Strong Fund.
The new Hamilton Downtown Family YMCA will be a modern, inclusive Centre of Community designed to reflect Hamilton’s strength, diversity and spirit.
