Experience the best of traditional YMCA Wanakita camping and head home at the end of the day.

Day campers participate in both land and water-based programs and have the opportunity to participate in a traditional one-night overnight experience each week.

During each one-week session, campers take part in group activities as well as special theme programs. All activities emphasize fun, challenge, adventure, creativity, imagination, and cooperation. Campers enjoy age-appropriate activities that suit the needs of our youngest and oldest campers.

Day Campers’ activities include kayaking, canoeing, fun sumba, crafts, slip and slide, campfire, swamping, sports and games, swimming, water trampoline, low ropes, archery and more.

Campers are welcome to bring a snack but please do not send any nut or nut products with your camper.

Dates, Rates & Availability

At this time, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel all  Wanakita Day Camp programs for Summer 2023.

YMCA Wanakita continues to face a shortfall in qualified staffing and as a result we do not expect that we will be able to operate the Day Camp program to the standards that our clients have come to expect.

We hope that the we will be able to operate Day Camp in Summer 2024.
