Ontario Invests in Skilled Trades Training Through YMCA Program

YMCA Hamilton | Burlington | Brantford is pleased to be part of a provincial investment aimed at expanding skilled trades training and creating pathways to rewarding careers for people across our region.

As announced by the Ontario government, the YMCA will receive $330,345 through the Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program to support a Truck and Coach Technician pre-apprenticeship program that will provide training for 20 participants, primarily youth. The program includes Level 1 apprenticeship training and employment-readiness supports designed to help participants build the skills needed to enter the workforce with confidence.

The investment is part of a broader provincial programs aimed at strengthening the skilled trades workforce and help address growing demand across key industries.
