Kinder Connections is a play-based summer program for children in kindergarten (4 - 5 years of age).
Kinder Connections is a licensed child care, play-based summer program for children 4 - 5 years of age. If your child turns 6 before June 30, 2026, please register for Day Camp programs.
Programs run in weekly sessions from June 29 to August 14, from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Families may choose any number of weeks subject to availability.
**Burlington program start dates may begin after June 30.
Registration
Advanced registration for current YMCA child care families, siblings of families currently enrolled in YMCA child care, and YMCA staff will open February 25, 2026 at 8:00 AM via the My Y Account Portal.
Registration opens to all March 17th at 8:00 am via the My Y Account Portal.
If enrollment is low at a location, the YMCA reserves the right to cancel the program.

- Select 'Clients',
- Select 'Add Additional' to add your child to the account.
How To Register
- Login to My Y Account Portal
- Select ♡ Child Care at the top of the screen
- Select Kinder Connections 2026 from the Session Dropdown.
- Find your Kinder Connections region:
- Hamilton Kinder Connections
- Brantford Kinder Connections
- Burlington Kinder Connections
- Click the orange Waitlist button on the right side of the screen to be added to the waitlist.
- You will be prompted to select your preferred location(s), weeks of care, and to fill in a registration form.
- Click Check Out to complete.
Due to the high volume of interest in the program, all sign-ups are automatically added to the waitlist, this does not mean the program is full

The program follows How Does Learning Happen? and the YMCA A Place to Connect® curriculum, with a focus on play‑based learning, social‑emotional development and outdoor exploration.
Children bring their own nut‑free lunch.
The YMCA provides snacks.
Staff share updates through YMCA’s Weemarkable® App, as well as daily in‑person check‑ins.
A ratio of 1:13, compliant with Ministry of Education licensing.
Most regions do, but Burlington program start dates may shift based on school board approvals.
