Anti-Human Trafficking

YMCA Youth in Transition workers provide support to youth 24 years and younger that are or have been involved in a human trafficking situation. Services include support, education, harm reduction strategies and more.

EarlyON Child & Family Centres

EarlyON centres offer free, high-quality drop-in programs for families and children from birth to 6 years old. You can learn and play with your child, meet people and get advice from early childhood professionals. The YMCA operates two EarlyON Centres in Hamilton.

Men's Residence

Located at the Hamilton Downtown Family YMCA, the Men's Residence provides clean, safe and affordable transitional housing for more than 170 men in Hamilton's urban core.

Newcomer Youth Centres (NYC)

Newcomer Youth Centres (NYC) provide a safe space and nurturing environment where newcomer youth receive ongoing support that enhances their settlement and integration experiences. Through their participation in the NYC, newcomer youth receive information and support in accessing other social services, and community resources.

YMCA Beyond the Bell™

YMCA Beyond the Bell™ is an after-school and summer academic achievement program that focuses on closing the academic achievement gap experienced by children from low income areas, compared to their middle-class peers.

YMCA Beyond the Bell™ combines recreation, academic assistance, nutritional snacks, and socialization activities aimed at building confidence, developing social skills, promoting physical activity and enhancing learning.

Youth in Transition

If you are or have been involved with Family and Children Services and are between the ages of 16 and 24, the Youth In Transition Worker (YITW) program is available to help you transition to a more independent lifestyle.

Y Mind

Y Mind is a free seven-week mental wellness program that supports teens ages 13 - 17, who are experiencing symptoms of mild to moderate anxiety or stress. Participants learn and practice evidence-based strategies to help manage anxiety.
