As a charitable organization, the YMCA strives to serve all segments of the community, including those with limited financial means. Donors to the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign help make this possible.

If your current financial circumstances are limiting your ability to participate, financial assistance may be provided. Inquiries are held in confidence.

To apply for Financial Assistance

Documents needed:

  • Completed YMCA Financial Assistance form
  • Completed Current YMCA Summer Registration(one for each child)
  • Documents supporting income figures on the Assistance Form( T4, Employer Letter, etc)
Please be sure to enclose all of the documents listed above. The calculation of financial assistance will not begin until all parts are received at the YMCA Wanakita Administration Office.

Application process:
  1. Complete the YMCA Wanakita Financial Assistance Application and return it by mail, fax or email  to YMCA Wanakita. Please be sure to a complete a current registration form for each camper listed on the Financial Assistance Form.
  2. A space will be held for each child in the program of their choice. The financial information supplied is reviewed and the financial assistance offered is calculated based on the formula provided by the YMCA of Hamilton|Burlington|Brantford.
  3. A Financial Assistance contract is drafted, and mailed to the applicant.
  4. A signed copy of the agreement is sent back to YMCA Wanakita.
