February 27 - Job Action and Impact on YMCA Programs
We wish to share a brief update as new information has become available about progressing job action.
Earlier this week, the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA) announced it will continue one-day rolling strikes throughout the week of February 24th. In Brant Haldimand Norfolk the one-day strike will be held on Thursday, February 27th.
The YMCA will offer current YMCA School Age Child Care families, the opportunity to access full-day licensed child care programs during the upcoming one-day strike at 1 location. As child care spaces are very limited, availability is on a first come, first serve basis.
Time: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. | Cost: $38
Laurier Brantford YMCA | 100 Water Street, Brantford
To indicate your interest in Strike Care, please complete the form below.
Registration will close on Wednesday, February 26th at Noon.
As job action escalates, we will continue to evaluate our ability to offer alternative child care options to families throughout the duration of the strike.
