This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking for your urgent support to help us raise $10,000 to give 100 local families facing financial challenges a healthy, nutritious meal this holiday season.
2020 has been a difficult year for all our communities as we work together to stop the spread of COVID-19. For individuals and families facing financial hardship this burden is even greater. Isolation, unemployment and rising costs can make basic needs like access to healthy and nutritious meals a challenge.

As the holidays approach and we face the second wave of the pandemic, the need to support our most vulnerable community members is greater than ever before. We are looking to support these needs through:
  • 100-holiday meal packages to families in priority neighbourhoods who historically participation in our YMCA Santa's Chill Zone
  • Food security for the 174 at-risk men living in transitional housing at the Hamilton Downtown Family YMCA Men’s Residence
  • Nutritious snacks for children in our YMCA Beyond the Bell™ program to keep their bellies full while they learn
Since the onset of the pandemic, we’ve worked hard at the YMCA to transform how we support the needs of our community and now is no exception. As a charity that provides programs and critical supports to children, youth, families and those in need, our work supporting our community is more crucial than ever.
