As an extension of our Downtown Immigrant & Employment Services Branch, the YMCA provides our suite of services directly within the Stoney Creek area to address the diverse, growing population of Hamilton's east end.
Located on the busy Centennial Parkway (just off Barton Street), this location is easily accessible by bus and is within walking distance to many of the area's apartments and houses.
This location includes information and orientation services for immigrants, English language assessments, employment services, settlement workers in schools, and library settlement partnerships. For youth between the ages of 13 and 24, there is the East Newcomer Youth Centre (eNYC), where Stoney Creek youth can spend time among peers in a safe environment.
Services at this location are free and funded by various levels of Government. Some programs have eligibility criteria for participation and varying levels of availability. Please visit the program page of the program(s) you are interested in for more information.
