Summer Day Camp
Monday to Friday, 5 days a week

YMCA Wanakita Day Camp is available for those who reside or are visiting/cottaging in the Haliburton/Minden area. Day campers participate in both land and water-based programs and have the opportunity to participate in a one night overnight experience each week. Over the one-week period, the camper will take part in personal choice and group activities and special theme programs. All activities emphasize fun, challenge, adventure, creativity, imagination and cooperation. We deliver age appropriate programs to ensure our youngest and oldest campers participate in activities that suit their needs and abilities.
Day campers are placed in groups (by age and grade) of 6 to 12, and are supervised and cared for by a counsellor. During the week, day campers can bring their own lunch or purchase a Wanakita prepared lunch.
Transportation By Bus to Day Camp (Haliburton & Minden Only)
Please indicate on the registration form which stop(s) you will be using. The bus route will be confirmed on your confirmation letter. Fare for one way is $23.10 or $46.20 return (for one week).
Other Day Camp Transportation
For those choosing other alternatives (ie. boat, car) we would ask that you drop-off campers between 8:45 and 8:55 am and pick them up at 4:30 pm.
