For 37 years, throughout the fall, winter, spring and summer, the Wanakita Outdoor Centre has provided a welcoming, supportive and challenging environment for a wide range of individuals and groups of all ages.

Whether venturing for 1, 3 or 5 days with groups of 20 or 300, our staff take pride in ensuring that the goals of all who participate are met. You can go to Wanakita as an organized group or sign up for any of our week long or Family Get Aways

Wanakita offers a variety of programs throughout Fall, Winter and Spring for elementary, middle and secondary schools, colleges and universities, adults, businesses, families, clubs and other special interest groups.

Custom designed programs are planned and delivered cooperatively between Wanakita Staff and group leaders attending the site.

Whether you're a school, business or club the actiivites, schedules, goals and objectives are created to meet the needs of each group. Some themes and activity options include:

Wanakita's Group Rates are offered in 24 hour billing periods (ie. arrive at 1:00 pm, after lunch, Monday & depart 1:00 pm, after lunch, Tuesday). Prices are all inclusive (meals, equipment, instruction, logding).

Independent Programs are provided for those who wish to rent all or part of Wanakita for day or residential experiences. The key is that the group is self run with the Wanakita staff not involved in the program.

Buildings, program areas, equipment, food service and accommodation are all available depending on the needs of the group. Wanakita staff will give 'behind the scenes' support to ensure all objectives of the groups are met. Retreats, dinner/dances, conferences and workshops are examples of independent programs. Whether day or residential, youth or adult, prices will vary depending on the needs of the individual group. Please contact us directly for more information on price and available dates.

The rates include use of all prearranged facilites, meals during your stay, program equipment, instruction and accomodation. Wanakita staff will be assigned to work with each group depending on the number of paritcipants. The program is put together cooperatively to meet the needs of each group.

Centralized washhouses are close to the cabins. On the west side we have 18 cabins that have full washrooms in each cabin.

Meals are served buffet or family style. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners range from $6.00 to $11.00 per person depending on selection. Snacks range from $2.00 to $5.00 (taxes not included) per person depending on selection. For special events (i.e. conferences, dinner/dances) meal prices could be higher depending on selection.
